Bob Kerrey was governor of Nebraska from 1983 to 1987 and represented his state in the U.S. Senate from 1989 to 2001. In 2011 he was named President Emeritus of The New School and will soon become the executive chairman of the Minerva Institute for Research and Scholarship in San Francisco.

Steve LaTourette is the former U.S. Representative from Ohio’s 14^th (previously 19^th) district, who served from 1995 to 2013. He is now the president of McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies, which provides “comprehensive federal government advocacy and strategic services for a wide range of clients.”

Rula Jebreal joins the panel for this week’s mid-show interview. She is a journalist, novelist, screenwriter and commentator for MSNBC whose latest book is Rejected. Her movie, Miral, for which she wrote the novel and screenplay, was the first film ever screened at the UN General Assembly. In a recent article for The Daily Beast, Jebreal reflected on the culture of rape and the impact it has had on her family.
